Prayer, praise and provision
Prayer, praise and provision.
The Water for Life ministry returned and drilled 2 more wells for us. One for the school across from us that turned out great. Enough water for the school and surrounding homes... including our local mayor. So maybe a softer tone toward our Honduras Missions ministry.
Plus it keeps all the school children from crossing a busy highway to our property for water. Seven people have been hit including one of ours in the last 10 years. The second well was in the mountains for the Ven a Mi Baptist Church. Water is not as abundant in the mountains, but we are hoping it will provide the church and surrounding area clean drinking water for the first time.
Pastor Ruis is healing well with the meds and care that was provided. So much so he came to visit us and is now preaching up in the mountain for one of our preachers. He plans to return to Cuba June 6th to deal with a property that is being donated. They are insisting it be in the ministry's name. So Honduras Missions will have property in Cuba. The general and his family and extended family were baptized and have begun showing fruit. We also sent christian movies to watch, some were for entertainment, evangelism and science videos . His sister in law admits she hated Americans, but after trusting the LORD and watching the videos she sees them with new eyes and a new heart. (she is donating the land) Amen.
The general now sits with his enlisted men to eat and talk and is taking baby steps in witnessing. His son is also. Remember they have known nothing but atheism, communism and evolution for 60yrs. Everything we have said is new to them. Ruis found in talks they want a couple of hiking backpacks like they saw with Canadian tourist in Africa and a nice guitar. (They are very limited in what they can purchase) So we are looking for a way to aquire and send them with Ruis.
A few weeks back Cindy showed up at church. She was the 11yr old girl with us for a short time whom we we had a large tumor removed from her throat. She was removed from our care shortly after surgery
. She is now 18 and has had it rough, and had a baby since leaving us. After visiting church she began to beg to return. Up to 100 calls a day. Then she just showed up at our home as we pulled out to church, she had no place to live. We sought wisdom and ended up placing her with Pastor Augusto's family for now. They live as poor as church mice, but are rich in what Cindy needs most. Now we are looking for ways to help them help her.
Dia de Madre 2018 in La Cruz Baptist Church went very well. A young preacher must be walking close to the LORD to preach prov 24:25 and 12:9 on mothers day... and have most of the women stand in prayer to do better at the invitation.. amen... Similar activities in all the other Honduras Missions churches as well... overall a very good day. Amen.
One of the fathers that reconciled with the Lord in the outreach was in church today and came up to me saying he wants to serve the Lord. Amen.
