Mal 3:16 A Book of Rememberance

Had a very difficult week spiritually, yet the LORD still blessed. Today is the 4th anniversary of La Cruz Baptist Church. Great time of fellowship, food and remembering. Carlos shared the church history and how it was started. Just one Sat. night in the field across from our house, playing a gospel movie in the rain under a small tent with near 40 people packed inside. Electric cords laying on the ground under inches of water, mosquitoes thick enough to dim the screen; and yet with tears he shared this too was the night his daughter trusted the LORD as Saviour. It also convinced him to serve the LORD. The next day was our first "service". Then he was just a new friend helping me translate; now he is the pastor. He shared how one service under the tent it was so stormy, water was ankle deep and we were screaming just so people could hear us preach. We needed most of the congregation to man the ropes to weigh down the tent to keep it from blowing away. Four years later the church has purchased property and built a building to meet in. Amen! It was also Alba’s and Recardo’s birthdays this week. The kids found another baby squirrel…yes I know its just a rat with a fluffy tail, but try convincing the kids that now that it follows them everywhere and sleep in their rooms. Yesterday Toño found a baby rabbit on the property as well, that is after he killed the rest of the family accidently mowing the grass…so it to got adopted. Always a zoo here. Prayer request: Tomorrow we travel to the capital to renew our visas again. This is always costly and we are having to renew our ministry status as well. Pray they go easy on us. It always seems to cost more than we have.

A book of rememberance is written for our benefit for our renewal AMen!
Mal 3:16 Then they that feared the LORD spake often one to another: and the LORD hearkened, and heard it, and a book of remembrance was written before him for them that feared the LORD, and that thought upon his name.
17 And they shall be mine, saith the LORD of hosts, in that day when I make up my jewels; and I will spare them, as a man spareth his own son that serveth him.
18 Then shall ye return, and discern between the righteous and the wicked, between him that serveth God and him that serveth him not.

unworthy servant to a worthy Saviour,
Barry
