Mal 3:16 A Book of Rememberance

Had a very difficult week spiritually, yet the LORD still blessed. Today is the 4th anniversary of La Cruz Baptist Church. Great time of fellowship, food and remembering. Carlos shared the church history and how it was started. Just one Sat. night in the field across from our house, playing a gospel movie in the rain under a small tent with near 40 people packed inside. Electric cords laying on the ground under inches of water, mosquitoes thick enough to dim the screen; and yet with tears he shared this too was the night his daughter trusted the LORD as Saviour. It also convinced him to serve the LORD. The next day was our first "service". Then he was just a new friend helping me translate; now he is the pastor. He shared how one service under the tent it was so stormy, water was ankle deep and we were screaming just so people could hear us preach. We needed most of the congregation to man the ropes to weigh down the tent to keep it from blowing away. Four years later the church has purchased property and built a building to meet in. Amen! It was also Alba’s and Recardo’s birthdays this week. The kids found another baby squirrel…yes I know its just a rat with a fluffy tail, but try convincing the kids that now that it follows them everywhere and sleep in their rooms. Yesterday Toño found a baby rabbit on the property as well, that is after he killed the rest of the family accidently mowing the grass…so it to got adopted. Always a zoo here. Prayer request: Tomorrow we travel to the capital to renew our visas again. This is always costly and we are having to renew our ministry status as well. Pray they go easy on us. It always seems to cost more than we have.

A book of rememberance is written for our benefit for our renewal AMen!
Mal 3:16 Then they that feared the LORD spake often one to another: and the LORD hearkened, and heard it, and a book of remembrance was written before him for them that feared the LORD, and that thought upon his name.
17 And they shall be mine, saith the LORD of hosts, in that day when I make up my jewels; and I will spare them, as a man spareth his own son that serveth him.
18 Then shall ye return, and discern between the righteous and the wicked, between him that serveth God and him that serveth him not.

Listed with a guestment of the costs. As of this posting we have $159.74 in the bank. We already bought food for this week but the rent is due Monday for the house in city we need to close…but need the communications and need to finish a few things at the lighthouse. The Waters Asswaged

I have not had internet access time for a while. And when I have it has been much shortened. We weathered the storms just fine. The floods waters have assuaged and many prayers heard. Many here thought it would flood severely but that was not to happen. The week since has had some blessings. Missionary Sam Hodges visited this afternoon with a group of college kids from PCC. They sang. preached and visited the children at the Lighthouse. I believe many hearts were touched on both sides and blessing abounded. Each of our children adopted some PCC students when they arrived and wore some of them out with attention (welcome to my world). The power went out during church 2 times, once while the PCC group was singing and once during preaching. Both times they continued like pros without missing a beat. A young man from Peru preached a great message on faith of a child. The girls finished in the dark and we got headlights shining for the preaching. The lights did come back on and our church did a small fellowship snack afterwards. The rain let up enough we even got some grass cut today. Still have so many prayer request and needs to lift to the LORD. If I listed all they would be long. Still pray for health and strength for the family and finances are the two largest. We have a church coming down to help with bedding for the kids. Most of the have slept of the floor for most of the last year and a half. Still need to hook up our electric properly and must run 500 feet of line and 2 poles to meet with the requirements of the electric company. We need to completely move out of the house in the city but that would leave us without communication to the states. Currently the only option is a satellite internet hookup but that is way beyond or reach right now. Need to start a school soon. 3 children will out of the 6th grade in Feb and no longer by eligible for public schooling. (It is all private after 6th grade). The property is ready to house more children but we struggle to feed what we have now. Every week is a prayer for funds to come in to buy food and water. I can relate to George Muller on so many levels since coming to Honduras.
